This is our last activity of the day… Coffee break!
Early morning before we took the Faluwa going to Sabtang, Ate Remy told us the location of the famous Honesty Coffee Shop. She told us to drop there after our Sabtang trip.
The main landmark of the coffee shop was the Port of Ivana. It’s only a walking distance from there. The store was owned by an old couple.
From the name itself, all visitors and customers of the shop must be honest. What’s unique with this shop was its all self-service. There’s no attendant around.
Aside from the goods being sold, you will find a price list, a logbook and a drop box. Only available items were on display. You just have to get what you want, look at the price list for the cost, register the items you bought on the logbook and drop your payment in the drop box. Exact payment is required, however, there’s an instruction that if you need some change, you just have to knock on the door.
We had a coffee inside the shop. There is a ready to use utensils, a water heater, a stirrer and a table to sit. It’s just a normal store; the only difference was that everything is self-service.
