Normally, the best way to really enjoy your stay at a certain place is to savor every moment of it. Do not rush! Here’s a quick Siquijor Travel Guide for you to enjoy your stay at this enchanting island.

On the contrary, with the advent of promo fares nowadays, we are bound to squeeze our travels on a weekend or during holidays. We are now into cheaper yet enjoyable getaways. In our case, we arrive Siquijor on board the last fast craft from Dumaguete. We don’t have any activity upon arrival; we just go directly to our hotel. So let’s count this off. Let’s just imagine we take the early morning ferry from Dumaguete to Siquijor.

Siquijor is accessible from different cities surrounding the province. May it be from Cebu, Tagbilaran, Plaridel or Iligan but Dumaguete City is the most accessible gateway to Siquijor. Hourly boats, fast crafts and Ro-ro’s are also sailing from Dumaguete to either Siquijor Port or Larena Port. To confirm the trip schedule, you must also check directly to the website of the boat companies (GL, Delta, OceanJet and etc.) for advance information. Websites of Dumaguete City and Siquijor (www.siquijordirectory.com) are also being updated from time to time.

Nearest airport to Siquijor is Dumaguete City. Major airline companies like Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific are flying to Dumaguete every day. An alternative airport is also in Cebu in which you have the option to take a fast craft from Cebu to Siquijor or board the bus from Cebu to Dumaguete. Another alternate airport is in Bacolod City where you can take a bus going to Dumaguete City.
