BATANES… The Secluded White Beach

Just after the shelter boat stop, the tour continues… Few kilometers drive down the road from Boat Shelter Port was the white beach. If you’re not familiar with the place, you will not notice this beach. There is no clear entrance on the beach; there was no signage as well. We got off our van and walked towards a grassy area. There were lots of coconut trees. It seems like it was a... continue

BATANES… At The Boat Shelter Port

Another stop along the way… A short drive from Homoron Blue Lagoon was the boat shelter port. It was a cove where it houses the boats during typhoon season. The second stop for the day… After spending few minutes at the Chawa Viewpoint, we proceeded to our next stop. It was only a few kilometers drive, along one curve portion of the highway was the Homoron Blue Lagoon. We had a peek at the Homoron Blue Lagoon. It’s a fantastic place; we’ve just seen it from the top. You can simply imagine how clear the water was. Some portions of the... continue

BATANES… Dinner at Pension Ivatan

To end our DAY 1 activity… A walk back from Naidi Lighthouse, we went our way towards the airport and reached Pension Ivatan at almost 7pm. Pension Ivatan is located very near to Basco Airport. Along the way, we enjoyed mingling with kids who were playing on the road. Sari-sari stores were everywhere; some were selling fruits so we bought bananas and ate it as we walked along. While... continue

BATANES… Beautiful Naidi Lighthouse

Our journey continues to the ever-famous Naidi Lighthouse located on the hill near Basco. It can be reached through bicycle or even a 20 to 30 minute walk from the center of town. Naidi Lighthouse is overlooking the ocean and Basco seaport. It is also an added feature of Basco having a very nice lighthouse within its vicinity. It has a cafe near the location; unfortunately it was closed during... continue

BATANES… Basco Welcome Arch

A private tour was organized for the six of us.  After a quick refresh at the hotel, we’re off to our scheduled tour. Itinerary covers most part of the Northern Batan Island. You will not really miss a moment not to look outside the window of your car because the view on every twists and turns along the winding Batanes roads is really amazing. Fortunately, we were blessed with a clear... continue
