An interesting stop at Alapad Gorge…
Listed on our itinerary, we moved further down south to reach Alapad Gorge and Long Range Station (LORAN). Not quite far from Ivana and only a short drive from Sitio SongSong. The road conditions were very good, all new concrete. They cut one portion of the mountain to construct a good road down south.
We drove along a scenic route wherein you will drive beside the shore before climbing up a portion of the mountain. And at the back of it, awaits the spectacular Alapad Gorge.
We made a stop at nearby waiting shed. The view from there was amazing. There’s a portion where you can see the clear waters on the shore plus the green hill on the side, oh so breath-taking. This view was only on the road-side. There’s so much more on the hill.
We were told to walk right on the hill few meters farther than the road. As we walked, another breathtaking view of the LORAN, where you can see a structure along the shore and a beach on its side.
When we got to the edge of the hill, a remarkable view appears to us. The hill was covered with grass, no trees around. The views were amazing; we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the place. A rock formation sits in front of the hill were you can barely hear the gushing waves.
Sitting on the hill, you can feel the breeze. It was so relaxing up there. It is said that this place was one of the locations where the movie of Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta “Hihintayin Kita sa Langit” was shoot. This place is so romantic; no wonder this had been used in the shoot.
