After doing some adrenaline rush activities at Dahilayan Adventure Park, we are yet to visit Dahilayan Forest Park. In the park, they showcase more relaxing activities. Those who are not into adventures, you can also relax here at the Dahilayan Forest Park.
Just few minutes walk from Dahilayan Adventure Park; we pay an entrance fee of Php 100 each at the Dahilayan Forest Park. They have children’s playground where adults are enjoying as well. They also offer breath-taking view of the mountains. The Zipzone also is traversing the park so we can clearly see those doing the 840-meter Zipline of the Dahilayan Adventure Park.
At the playground, they have different kinds of activities for all ages. They also have the ropes course, which children can avail, oh well, with adult’s supervision. The Zorb is quite challenging wherein you’ll roll down the hill. It’s a dry Zorb wherein you’ll be literally tied inside the ball and you will also be rolling up and down with the ball. The Luge is on the other side. They have this hanging bridge that connects the main hill to the Luge Hill. Unfortunately, they only allow guests who are joining the Luge. By the way, I don’t know if those who are not doing the Luge, there’s a fee just to cross the hanging bridge. Maybe you can confirm it also.
Dahilayan generally become famous for its Zipline Activities. But an attraction that labeled Dahilayan is the giant picture frame, which is located at the Dahilayan Forest Park. When you say Dahilayan, you can really associate the giant picture frame regardless if you’ll be visiting the activities at the Dahilayan Adventure Park.
The giant picture frame is already an icon at Dahilayan. Your visit will not be complete it you don’t have a pose at it. Everyone’s falling in line just to have a photo opportunity at the frame. It’s location is also strategic having a panoramic view of the mountains.
By the way, they allow picnic in the area. There are some tables and cottages that one may rent too. They also have rooms for those planning for an overnight stay at the park. They have restaurants too for those who don’t have food.
Shuttle bus also has pick-up schedules during weekends to and from Cagayan de Oro. For sure rates and schedules, kindly visit park’s website.
We only have limited time at the Forest Park since most of our time, we spend at the Adventure Park. Yet we also manage to enjoy our visit. Everybody’s happy and enjoying every bit of it.
At 4pm, we go back to our van for us to go back to Cagayan de Oro City. We had a fun-filled day out in Dahilayan.
