Fountain of Youth Diura Village Batanes

BATANES… A Swim at the Fountain of Youth

Our next stop after lunch…

We had a very good lunch at the Diura Village. With full stomach, we’re ready to walk the said one kilometer distance from the village going to the fountain of youth.

After a short rest,  we walked directly to the mountain. Along the way were the view of the ocean on the left and the mountain on the right. Lots of trees along the walkway so there’s no need to worry on the sun.

When we arrived at the fountain of youth, there were few people in the place.  Some of there were washing clothes and some were taking a bath. To describe, it’s a water spring that’s free flowing from the tube. It goes directly to a small shallow pool. The water was cold.  It seems like more visitors were coming to the place to bathe because there were changing rooms available.

After we changed our clothes, we went directly to the beach. It was low tide that time that we can’t find a good place to swim at sea. There were rocks and white sands on the beach but the water was shallow and hot since its mid-day. At a distance, I’m pretty sure it’s deep so we just find portion of the beach that’s like knee deep.

The beach was hot, the sun also was hot, and we decided to take a plunge at the spring. We enjoyed the cold water and we’re refreshed. We’re now ready for the next activity.

As per Ate Remy, the spring water was safe to drink. I tried and it was tasty.
