When you search for Batanes in the internet, you will always come across Fundacion Pacita. I believe it is one of the icons in Batanes.
Located on top of the hill, Fundacion Pacita is just a short drive from Tukon Radar Station. In fact, when in Tukon you can see Fundacion Pacita from afar.
It is also a15-minute drive from Basco airport and can be reached through the paved roads traversing the hills of Batanes. The views are impressive. You can see the rolling hills of Batanes on the way to Fundacion Pacita
It is owned by the Abad Family. It used to be the home studio of Pacita Abad, an internationally acclaimed artist. Now open to public as a rental property for visitors and tourists, which offer quaint view of the hills and seas.
We had a quick visit at the lodge and we were lucky it is their off season so we are free to roam around the property. We were really mesmerized by the architecture and landscape of Fundacion Pacita. I can only imagine myself staying here, sipping coffee while walking around the property, enjoying the breath-taking view and at night, stargazing or enjoying the moonlight. Oh how I wish.
We took lots of pictures at the property, we really enjoyed the place. We wished we could stay longer yet we had many places on our list to visit for the day. We were just thankful to have the opportunity of enjoying the place even if we were not their guest.
