The adventure continues…
When we were called for boarding, we were one of the first to board the Faluwa. We sat at the back of the boat.

The boat was fully loaded with passengers and cargoes. Everybody is obliged to wear life vests while cruising. Coastguards are really hands-on for inspection before giving clearance for the boat to sail.

Sabtang Island is a 30-45 minute Faluwa boat ride from Port of Ivana. Ferry trips are scheduled usually in the morning, and the last trip from Sabtang will leave the port at 2pm. On certain water conditions were two bodies of water meet creates the current and that is one of the factors of having a longer boat journey. Weather conditions greatly affect the situation that sometimes during typhoon season, no boats are allowed to sail.

Boat captain were well aware on the water conditions as you may noticed that instead of going straight to the island, it was going on one side yet arriving at the same port of destination.

Coastguards are strictly on posts avoiding overloading on each faluwa; even sitting on the roof was not allowed. But when we got farther from the port, I let myself enjoy the view on the roof with other locals – another experience of mine.
