We commenced our afternoon City Tour in Lima with a quick stop at the Love Park. In the morning when we had our tour to Pachacamac, we passed through Love Park before heading out of the city. A slight introduction of the park was being shared by our morning tour guide.
As part of my City Tour’s itinerary, we had a quick stop at the Love Park located in Miraflores. It was a small park with a great ocean view. It had a simple garden with flowering plants.
When you notice, the benches resemble the work of Gaudi in Spain wherein they made a mosaic out of the colorful ceramic tiles. A monument stands at the center of the park resembling a kissing couple.
As per my guide, every February, Lima is sponsoring a competition on the longest time a couple performing the Peruvian kiss as part of the Valentines Day celebration. She added as well that Peruvian kiss is much better than the French kiss.
Our stop was just a real quick because our van stopped only at the roadside.
